OK, so I will start by saying I don't really want to part with this saw but something else for sale here has really piqued my interest, one of the 262xp posted by Iwhaples. If both of those saws become unavailable, the 359 will be off the market.

So, I picked up this 359 in sad, incomplete condition and did a full overhaul on it. I restored the cylinder, installed a new Meteor piston (only AM part I used in the rebuild) new crank bearings, seals, gaskets, etc, all OEM. Some of the missing parts were sourced good used OEM like the Walbro HDA175 carb, throttle linkage, kill/choke switches, top cover, etc. As far as mods they are mild. I matched and beveled the lowers, and did a BG delete...that's it. It's a good runner, not overly loud since I didn't mod the muffler and has good torque. It will bury the 18" bar in any hardwood and pull it with authority. A very user friendly saw and I hate to put it on the chopping block.

It does have a blue limited coil from a 372 in it. I have experienced no ill effects caused by using that coil with this saw being mostly stock.

I am asking $300 shipped PHO, or $325 shipped if the 18" 3/8 B&C is desired. Shipping to lower 48 only for that price. For AK and HI we would need to figure out something specifically. Not interested in shipping outside the US at this time. Probably cost prohibitive anyway.

I do not currently have pics of the piston with the muffler removed, but I can go pull the muffler and get some pics if needed for serious inquiries. These are the only pics I have as of now. Bar has some of the print worn off from normal use. I have run approximately 10 tanks of fuel in it since the overhaul.

Don't want to derail the thread @RIDE-RED 350r , but is a 262xp superior to a 359? I've always wanted a 60cc saw to bridge the gap but between the 262, 359, 357, and now the 562 it's difficult to make a decision. Just curious, nice saw btw, glws.

I can tell you that the 357 is an ass-kicker in stock for or otherwise. I have run a 562 a little bit but not enough to give an objective opinion. Enough to get a forest impression and say that it this point the 562 does impress me. 359 is a great saw too and the de-tuned twin of the 357. By all accounts the 359 can be a real ass-kicker too when modded.

On paper the 262 is a higher performer than the 359 with both in stock config. But I have not yet run a 262 so I really can't give a solid experience based answer
I have a MMWS 262 that is insane. I have an MMWS 600P thatI walk past the 262 for! hmmmmm!;)

Nope it’s your’s. I just gave you the fellow New Yorker deal on the bar and cover. That’s a great saw for the money.

357xp for the win, 359 close 2nd. The 262 never really impressed me much. 562xp is the most impressive stock saw I've ever run (I've run most of them), but a ported 357/359 is what I'd rather have in a 60cc.

Thanks Andy. I didn't want you to think I was trying to take advantage of you, I really am not. Been through a few more saws since then and frankly I completely forgot until you posted here.

As to the availability of the 359, it looks like a trade is pending that was offered last night

Well, I'm going to be able to do a side x side comparison between the 357 and 262, both ported by me. :) That 262 looks freakishly strong on paper...but I know paper can sometimes be misleading too. If nothing else, it will be alot of fun.
