What kind of cherry tree is this??
Wild plum. Possibly goose plum. Pick them and make some jelly. Those look good, the ones in my field have been hit by some worms. May make some jelly anyway from them. Or just eat them as they get soft.

Tart charry we called them pie charry.Leaves look right.Planted by a bird, did you eat any.

I tasted them..

Not bad, but left that tart alum feeling on the tongue.

Seemed like they might make a good jelly, but wanted to know if they were poison..

Give them a bit more time and they will turn redder and ripen up some more. When you pick them and they are soft, then they are ripe. Ate thousands of them over the years when I was younger.
