Thanks,
It is becoming less embarrassing as we go..... I'm not looking forward to putting the foundation under it, though....
I think they are planning to go with concrete block, but I'm not sure.
Is there a footing there?
Or just a fill in situation?

It was a double wide mobile home that they tore down to the frame, and built a new house on the steel frame....so it's just sitting on concrete block, with some kind of tie down straps anchored in the ground.
We'll probably hand dig a footing ditch, pour a concrete footing, and then lay the block.
I helped my dad put foundations under several existing buildings when I was a kid, so I have a pretty good idea of how to go about it...... but it ain't no fun groveling around on the dirt.

That’s gonna be a “not fun” job..

But really needs to be done...

Only bright note, is in your part of the country, it don’t need to be too deep to be stable..

Yeah it's gonna hurt.....
Definitely not going to be digging very deep, probably less than 6" deep x 16" or so wide.
You're right about the ground in these parts..... stinking hard....

Congratulations on a job ,hopefully done and ready to warm your home
Making progress, but still have a bit of work before it is ready to fire up.
This was a big step to get done though.

How far is it from the house?
It is a little over 60' from the house. It required 73' of insulated pipe.
My insurance requires at 25', but many require 50'. I figured I would go a little farther than the minimums.

Good afternoon y'all.

Buddy of mine has a Homelite Super 2 that's never been used. I know they made tons of these but does it have any collectors value? I might be able to talk him out of it and just give him one of mine.i have at least 2 of them and at least half dozen Mac top handles
