Got some more old iron bought end traded for Monday and Tuesday. Gotta work on getting them home. D7 17a top pic, d6 9u bottom. Both run. The d7 is a real clean machine.

The stuff I could tear up with those. Someone told me before it's a good thing you don't have a track hoe or you would have and 80 acre pond.

How’s that Lund treating you?
IMG_20210327_111228.jpg

Love it. Had an 89 proV that the transom rotted out on, so I picked up a Lowe with an enclosure that came up for sale. It is just too crowded for more than two in it so I started looking at different styles. Fixed the 89 and put both up for sale. Of course the Lund sold first. Got a gremlin in the motor on the Lowe that looks to be pressure problems on low pressure fuel pump. Parts should be here Friday and if it takes care of the problem it goes up for sale. Getting old and finally decided to run divers for spoonbills. And got a call in to Mitch Boggs tonight about a price on a building. Got to keep the boat pretty.

Anybody who has a deep V and can afford it needs a drotto boat latch. Makes a world of difference launching and loading when you start getting older. Took a friend out in early December for some crappie fishing on Stockton for his birthday. You can see the open floor space that this boat has. Dad can get around in it easier since there is only flat floor behind the windshield.

Rotating assembly for the MS170 delivered today. Upgraded to MS180 displacement since I had a nice cylinder.

Was cussing Chetsalvage for loosing the choke link and carb nuts until I found them in the air filter housing concealed by the filter.

Clever boy. [emoji6]

Maybe get it running in the morning. [emoji1696]

Guide bar dilemma next. Never seem to have an extra for a creamcicle.

Evening all! just got back from a family road trip to Florida. Took the kids to Disney and Universal Studios. I'll never go back to Disney... Those _$$-hats are acting more like communist china every day. But, we stayed over night on the way down in Gulf-Shores Alabama, and I will definitely go back there again! Also went to Cocoa Beach and swam for a bit, and that was great! Hayden is having another surgery this Thursday, (although Arthroscopic this time!!) because some of that tumor came back. We figured between the 'rona panic, and the pending surgery, we were getting the heck outta Dodge for a bit and enjoy some down time.

Dad and I also have been cutting Hedge on a property in a good friend's family that's only 8 miles away. I've hauled 2x dump trailers out and His Uncle has hauled 4x loads with a 6x10' dump. It's been a chore and a half though, as a tornado messed a lot of the canopies up, and entangled them. To remove one, you have to fell it, (about 1/2 way), make a cut about 2 log lengths up from the stump and cut through again to drop the butt on the ground, then hook on with the tractor and pull the m'fer outward, until it's on the ground... But, there's probably 12 more loads I'm going to knock out (or more), so it is what it is... Definitely a lot of analysis though, prior to making a felling cut, sizing up not only the tree, but the surrounding trees, an cutting escape paths.

How's everyone doing? Congrats Steve on your Daughter's wedding!!! I am both looking forward to and dreading that day myself.

Sounds like fun. I've been cutting in between Mulvane and Udall. I've got some big 'uns to split!

WET!! Here in the Blacksnake Hills!

Typical Creamsicle, the Zama on the 170 won't pass fuel.

We hit BIN on an adjustable Walbro clone for it. Drill holes, we will.

you seem to deal with a lot of these little stihls. I have a coil and carb here that was gifted to me for a 170. I would really like to pass this on to you as I have no use for it.

Here's that tree that was struck by lightning, well 4 pieces of it. I'll say one thing, kudos to actual tree workers who climb trees and are comfortable being up in the air. I was probably only about 30 ft up, on a telehandler and the main takeaway is that I will never do that again. It was windier than I wanted it to be, so the boom was swaying side to side a little bit and while it probably wasn't but a few inches either way, it felt like it was swaying a couple foot.

Edit : It ended up being solid all the way through it appears, so that was a nice surprise.

Only if didn’t involve postage. Bring it to Iowa Sat.?

The Chetsalvage 170 runs. [emoji19]

I discovered I had an extra carb from the last little creamsicle I fixed. Geezer memory sucks. [emoji90]

Jury is Stihl out on the oiler. And the fuel tank vent don’t seem to work well.[emoji2955]

170’s are a 50/50 shot at best...

Carb’s suck, oilers suck...

If you get a good one, they’re pretty decent..

If not, start throwing parts at the damn thing.,
