Fortunately, 1/4” is the tap drill size for the 6x1 thread insert. [emoji108]

The cylinder flange is flat. It’s the crankcase opening that is warped.[emoji37]

The Permatex gasket maker is an attractive alternative.[emoji848]

We are well on our way to another saw we are upside down in. [emoji33]

Our joy was short lived.

I made a rookie mistake not checking the crankcase with a magnet for pin retainer remains. [emoji849]

Should have rinsed it with mix.

Now the piston & ring from the parts doner are ruined.

No wonder it died and wouldn’t restart.[emoji90]
