I can't see the difference between my XL924 and the XL925 except the handlebar on mine which isn't original. Anybody know what the diff is?

Not sure about 924 but I have a 923 and only difference between the 923 and 925 was one has points other has electronic ignition. Also got a lot of good info when I went through mine last year from the build thread on house of homelite.

Not sure if mine has points or electronic, assumed it was points but I don't think I've had the starter off to look at it..I don't think mine came with a compression release if that matters..

HomeLite XL 10045A. New fuel lines and grommets was about all that it needed. Built like a tank. OP's might resemble it. At the owner's request, I removed the nose guard.
I think I have one of those also...I fixed up a nice XL925 for myself then realized it was a bit too big for me and let someone else enjoy it...
