Take the plug out and full to bottom of hole. I would flush the oil
reservoir with some type of solvent to clean it out then fill with
the correct oil. I use 100LL av gas to clean mine as it cleans really
good and dries quick.
Will do.

When I did my XP1100 I did take the case cover off to check the gears. I happen to luck out and found a screw that was rolling around in the case. I didn't find any gear dammage but I could see the screw had wear on the edge. I didn't put a gasket back in and just sealed it with liquid gasket maker. The main reason I took it apart was to see if it had the 2:1 or 3:1 gear set. It is 2:1

I work at a Marina so I grabbed some of this for gear lube. From selling it, it's an HD gear lube which isn't any difference from other top brands except it has an additive which helps with moisture and water. Figured that would only be a benifit in a all metal saw gear case which can collect moisture from fluctuating temps. We have many brands Yamaha being one of the better ones. A qt is enough to flush and fill.

Well all gone through. Not cleaned up yet. Old bar kerf cleaned and ran in, few sparks until oilers got the air out. Gear case purged and filled. Started many times, cold 3 pulls, warm 1. 50:1 HP Ultra premium gas. Oilers both working and air out of lines. All that's left is a cut vid now.

Might be me but the saw sounds like it's screaming at wot. Is it four stroking.
Sounds lean to me. Hate to see you burn up a piston. Did you rebuild carb?
Those have a fixed HI jet and the carb needs to be Caleeeaaaannn.

Which ipl do you have? The pic you posted is a Tillotson HL carb.
Your saw is a very late production Super 1130G with the Walbro
SDC carb that has no HI adjusting screw. Look at your carb. and
compare to the pic in the ipl you have.

You are correct. Fixed H. 20180120_110411.jpghere are official comp numbers. 170+ And she's wet and cold. So probably higher
