Ok... So I'm back..

Here's the hlsupply haul. I got a 268 piston on and checked squish the cheating way with just one long piece of solder through the plug hole. It hits with one base gasket, but with 2 it's fine. Squish with 2 is a nice .019". Each gasket measures .016 so that was simple. :)

So here's a stock piston...20171202_184806.jpg

And here's a 268 slug. Do I need to source a different bearing? Anyone have a 268-272 bearing they can measure? 20171202_184745.jpg

1512269669899-156088668.jpg Okay so I actually have a bearing that takes up the slack in the piston pin. I did come up with one Oddity. One of the two Pistons that I got for my Black Friday deal has the pin drilled crooked. I thought it was just my eyes or maybe an odd casting but after measuring it's about 1.5mm off. Think it will be ok?

I would not use it myself. May be nothing to worry about but I wouldn't chance it

Kinda what I was thinking. I hate to complain about it but I may have to give them a call. Hls is truly one of the best businesses I've ever had to call up though so I'm sure it will be fine.

Since its drilled off center won't it try to rock the piston?
I think it might but it's actually like the skirt will be turned a bit. Not a big deal till I put a new piston in it someday and the ports are off. Lol.

I'm sure they will take care of you and I think you would be wise to not run it. I can't imagine anything good happening with that wristpin offset like that

Wait a sec, both sides are not offset? Can the pin even be installed?? I'm thinking not if the other side is centered

Clutch bearing perhaps??
Maybe... Not sure. It is in very good shape for that as it is used. It's a rediculously small amount too wide. I'm thinking a single stroke of a file on each side of the inside of the piston and it's perfect.

Pin fits right in. It's like it was rotated a tiny bit too far when drilled and the piston skirt sits to one side of the port a little over 1mm more than the other side.

I got two. One for me and one for my buddy. The other is spot on and if I didn't have it, I'd have thought this one was normal.
