Echo mount bars

Have a new CS490 that I haven't even run yet. Just happened to get a decent deal and always wanted to try a 490/500/501...along with a 590/600/620? So...problem is what bars fit them? It came with 20" .325 which like I said I haven't tried...but seems like it would dog pretty good. I know it's a weaker 50cc and that's a lot of bar. Is there options for aftermarket bars in the 16-18" range? Total, tsumara, sugi, etc? I know some can be made to work on certain saws such as the total I have on my dolly 421 .325 conversion. So just curious what's out there. Thanks.

I'm running a husky small mount 18" on mine
.325 .50 72dl if memory serves.
It's a little loose not much.
Oils great.

The 590 i used d009 and cut the chains down one or two link's.
Same deal a little loose but worked great.

The CS490 uses the Oregon K216 mount.

K095 works well with some minor modification to the chain tension adjuster hole.

From what I have read you also need to add an oil feed hole to the K095. But yes it will work with mods.

I'm cornfuzed if your using say a 20 D009 on a D176 saw wouldn't your DL stay at 72?

Running a 18" gb i didn't have to change anything
Bar's from different makes may need some fitment.

On small saws, the K095 is like o-negative blood. It's the universal donor. A mild amount of massaging and you can make them fit about anything.

Didnt need to on the total L & T bar pictured. Oil hole lines up and bar get plenty of oil.

On a 590 you can get a large mount Husqy bar 20” 72DL to fit if you open up the mount holes a touch.

TsuMura makes a D176 Mount that will fit the Echo 590 but is a “standard” 72 dl.

Nice first post and welcome to the jungle. I ran into the same thing with k041 when I was searching for a Total L&T for my cs501. I ended up just going with the husky small mount k095. 5 minutes with a grinder and go cut wood. Pretty easy mod really.
