Anyone ever port on the case?
As in not take the cylinder of the case for port work?

One individual comes to mind. . . , as far as I understand many of his builds required extensive repairs once they failed and they seemed to fail prematurely compared to builds by other builders.

There is no justification for performing a cylinder port job while the same is still assembled to the case.

NO, I am not a builder, it is just my humble observation.

I'm just wondering...

Once mdavlee said put the piston in there at bdc it made me think.

The piston goes way down there and almost touches the case, I'll get a pic of a clay imprint later and post it.

The one area has a bump in the corner that looks to block one port. I'm sure there is a screw around that so it is likely NOT possible to reduce that restriction.

I didn't not mean port the cylinder on the case

So what's the consensus on the HD filter set up on these? Waste of time/ loss of power? Some say yay some say nay

The low top isn’t terrible with the neck greased. Actually stays clean for a pretty long time for me. I could see the hd being better for extreme conditions despite it not flowing as good?

There are small rubber flaps in bottom of the air box that open at idle vacuum to let chips out at idle I noticed. They close under full throttle. Pretty cool feature.

I can do that no problem.

I did some more work on my lower transfers today.

Gonna do the squish and base soon.

Just need to cut the base and squish. Then I can do the rest of the port timing. I am cutting the base after porting the lower transfers so any of the little marks I made will be removed.

Trying to make it look halfway professional

Maybe you’ve posted but I missed it, which elbow are you running?

HD filter elbow and boot. I have an addition to the velocity stack, I'm going to run two versions and see if anything is different.
