I ask opinion to the experts, could be saved by going up and polishing the port of admission? Thanks in advance for your answersIMG-20170914-WA0019.jpeg

I'm assuming that isn't a single ring piston set up. If not, you can bevel the left to match the right, then round the point off on the inside corners and it'll be fine. 20170915_120357.jpg
Supongo que no es un pistón de un solo anillo establecido. Si no, puede biselar la izquierda para que coincida con la derecha, luego alrededor del punto en las esquinas interiores y va a estar bien. 88184 [/ ATTACH] [/ QUOTE]
It is a single segment piston. It's from husky 281, I have other cylinders, but I'd like to experiment with this one, to see if it works and how it does it. I'll post photos once I touch it up
Ahora sabiendo que es un 281 diré que no moler en él. Tome un poco de grano fino y suavice los bordes un poco para que la nitidez no cicatrice la falda del pistón. [/ QUOTE]
Why in a 281 recommends not to grind?

The ring ends and locator pin ride in the middle of the intake on that cylinder. Where the damage is. Opening it up might cause a ring to hang at bdc.

Exactly what outback said.
A double ring piston usually sends the rings lower into the sharper corners at BDC as shown with the lower line in the picture. A single ring goes down about as far as the line on top.
¿Tienes el pistón que salió de esto? Que suavemente parece que el pin causado eso. [/ QUOTE]
If I have it, I'll put pictures. The segment is broken, but it also broke the bottom wall of the segment socket in the piston, I do not know which circumstance happened first, if it broke the segment when it was hooked and then the wall of the piston or the other way round. Say that the piston wall broke on the side, not on the part of the junction of the segment

I will look if I find a 52mm piston that can adapt to this cylinder, that has the segment stop to one side, maybe oil mac has something similar

This way for an extra 40 you get a good oem cylinder with it. No brainer.

What Jim posted in the link is a no brainer...for 85 bucks I would not be messing around with that chipped cylinder. A decent 181/281/288 is definately worth fixing right.

Creo que esto valdrá la pena, aunque es una medida C y la que estaba tratando de moler era una A, siempre es más fácil tener una buena compresión con una AIMG_20170916_082424.jpg
