Good question, with a not so easy answer. I think the best way I can put it is, it depends on the end usage of the saw. If the answer is it needs to go back into Pro daily service, then probably not, unless it's NLA and your last option. If a hobby/firewood saw then yes the chance can be taken and see how it pans out and fix minor defugalty's along the way.

I have one on my 200t no problems I did however put an OEM fuel line on it. ot sure if it needed it or not but that's what I chose to put on it because it seemed a little more flexible.

I have had good luck with them. One out of four had a bad tank vent that leaked. The stihl oem one fit in fine and fixed the issue. I have not had issue with the caps leaking.

I got one for my Husky 268.
Total p.o.s.
Operator presence lever is there. Serves about as much function as woodticks.
High idle setting, completely non-functional.
The fuel line seemed ok?
The installed mounts were too wide to fit into the case.
Fuel cap leaked.
Tried to drive the roll pin out to see what was up with lever. It started to crack the plastic. Seems like the glued the roll pin into it.
The supplied fuel filter may have been a chunk of leftover ginseng root. It was some weird squishy substance.
I wanted to run it over, but I needed the saw back running at the time.

So, it's a roll of the dice!

I've used quite a few of the Stihl MS260 ones a few years ago. Not sure how the recent batches are. Sometimes its a crap shoot.
