Here is a thread about a China 372 I call Cat Head.

Before this project showed up, I had never worked on one before. It was a challenge, and that's why I got it in the first place.

I used a oem piston pin bearing and clutch drum bearing. The rest is all China. I had trouble with the clutch drum itself, so oem would not be a bad idea for that as well.

I didn't much porting to it. I matched the intake to the boot, and matched the exhaust to the gasket. I did mess with the lower transfers a little bit, but not much.

Could have kept going on the exhaust port. Wouldn't hurt to widen it out 1.5mm a side.

Pretty good. Trying to decide what to do today with the weather looking like rain.

I did do a dual port muffler as well. It isn't too loud, at least to me.

Pipes aren't too bad for the operator.

Here are some pics of it all done. I did buy a full wrap from Bailey's for 30 bucks as well.

It runs great, and I'm real impressed with it. After a couple tanks of fuel it's at 170#s of compression.

Now that I know it's runs good, I will take it apart and do some more to it. What do you think about going 70% on the exhaust for a 372?

Is this your first Asian saw??? How was all the casting on your jug? Seems like it can be hit or miss

Yep it is my first Asian saw. The jug was actually really nice. The only bad thing I came across was the clutch drum.
