Better (?) homemade degree wheel

download and print a free degree wheel off the internet
Cut it out and bring it to Office Max or another office supply store that does laminating
Laminate it with their thickest laminate, cut the degree wheel out of the laminate leaving a border around the paper
Laminate it again and cut it out, leaving a border around the first laminate layer
Be careful to center your hole, I used a leather punch that was the right size and bought two 8 mm washers and one 8mm fine thread nut for use on the back side of the wheel on the flywheel shaft and use the flywheel nut on the front side

Creates a very sturdy, thin degree wheel, that can be bolted up, no fuss no muss, cost of the laminating was $2.60

I wondered about using a lightscribe cd to print a degree wheel on.

The alternating color degree marks may make a small degree wheel easier to read for some people. The .zip file contains a MS Word 97 document with the image sized for a CD, just hit Print. (a CD-sized degree wheel is pretty tiny, but with a sharp pointer gets the job done).
