So my Raptor's batter was dead when I went to use it yesterday for the first time this season. It's likely a 2012 so it's more than earned it's keep. It looks like I need a U1R 235 and when I went around town today, I could find no such battery. I don't know enough about what those numbers stand for and I'm not putting another battery in without knowing what it might do etc. Any advice or battery knowledge to share?

Thanks.

So if I can't find a 235, but I can find other U1R batteries, how do I know if I can use it without risking too much/too little CCA? Or does that not even make any difference?

Usually like with any battery more is better. I hate to ask but have you checked out Walmart?

And if you ever try to jump start it. Make sure your car or truck is off. At least that's what I've been told and done.
