Was given this "Genuine Norlund" double bit head today after talking up an old man about his old McCulloch saw I saw in the garage and burning wood. He said he got it late 1970's second hand. Any idea if that's when it was made?
Edit: it measures 8.5" long from edge to edge

Was probably about right on the time frame. Norlund are not a real old axe but are popular and have become a collector axe!

Sounds like pretty close time frame and like said before norlund has become collectable. I have a little hatchet made by norlund and they sell for $50 to $150 or so depending on the shape their in, so nice find for sure. I would take it anytime you want rid of it, nice piece.
