Wondering if I got skimmed or what...not sure what happened.

I live in Oregon, and apparently, spent $135 at some Waffle House in Florida...lol. Also nailed me for a purchase of 139 at an online jewelry store.

Blows me away how people can spend their time trying to get this info...anyway, rant over.

Anyone else have any stories?

Happened to me once. Credit card company stopped it right a way and didn't charge me anything. I had to get a new card number.

I got a new card..have to send a letter to the bank explaining the erroneous charges..then I will get credited back. Just a pain in the ass!!

Did they say where the breach came from?
What sites were you buying from immediately prior to the bogus charges? One of those site may be compromised.

Happened to me last November. It just so happens I was at the bank deposited a check I knew what my balance was the day before so when they handed me my slip and I see 300 missing they immediately looked it up. Some one made a fraudulent card and used in at a Walmart. I signed some paper work the bank gave me a temporary card on the spot. An hour later got a phone call everything checked out 300 back in my bank account. I was really surprised my bank moved that fast.

Yeah, could be a skimmer on a cash machine or a point of sale machine. Shouldn't be too hard for the banks to track down where.
But that don't confront me, long as I get my thickshake by next Friday.

I've been hit several times over the past few years. One was upgrading a computer windows 10 the other was for a brand new iPhone. Funny thing I haven't used a computer since xp came out and I hate apple.

I got hit by one of the scanners in Jersey a few years back. Next time I was in the Dominican Republic and got hit. My bank stops them quick and will give it back in a couple days

Yes it is some just got my wifes card number and bought some online xbox 1 games. The guy at xbox laughed his ass off because they know exactly were they are fkn *pretty boy kids.

All I cansay folks is I have a 200 limit set on my cards and if Iam needing something big I call before hand to up the limit.
