There seems to be very few aftermarket options (farmertek, no name) for 576 pistons but plenty (meteor, cross, hyway) for the 760.
By the basic specs they appear more or less the same, same rings, pin, height, comp height.
Is there some reason they aren't cross compatible?

Husqvarna also has different p/n's for them, 575 25 73-02 and 506 37 24-01.
Maybe the strato cutaways have different timing or size or something?

I am not for sure on the difference in 760 to 576 pistons but I did do some testing on 575 pistons in 576 saws. 576 piston has hole were strato cut away is and 575 do not. I did not notice any gain nor decrease in power. My only thought was that the hole on the 576 piston is maybe for increased lubricantion of small end bearing. Idk if 760 piston can be bought cheap enough it could be worth a try.

Thanks for the info.
I've noticed looking a pics of both that the strato cutaways are a little different, bigger on the 576 and the roof is flat all the way back. So it looks like the strato timing would change if they were swapped.

Man if only I had my junk pile of 576’s back I’d try it for ya. Do have 576 under the bench but it needs pto bearing and just sold the top end lol.

I know this is an old thread but does anyone know if the 576 piston will work in the 575? @Solo fan I have a couple golf 576 pistons and a 575 that I believe has a salvageable cylinder

Try it. Set them up side by side and check out everything including the ring pins. I know nothing of these saws.

I guess I am going to have to give it a shot. I'm no saw mechanic but I have swapped a few top ends. Not something I am going to jump on right away but I will report back when I do. Thank you for responding @Lightning Performance
