Finger spring I'm guessing is the one that keeps the flag from flopping around. Goes through the hole in the front of the cover.

For the big spring, slide it up onto the black retainer, and stick a small screwdriver through it about 2 coils up. Using the screwdriver as a lever, pry down and in on the spring until it'll fit in. Then screw the plastic cover on so it won't pop out.

I believe the brake handle has to come off to install the finger spring

And that's my issue, getting the brake handle off. I know I have to remove the two big metal grommets. Just wondering the best way to go about it

One side has an Allen head. Loosen it 4 or 5 turns and tap it down. That will loosen the nut side enough to wiggle it out. Then a socket or screwdriver the right size to tap out the bolt side
