Upgraded my brush cutter this week and I am impressed with this 30cc class Echo. Running a mulching head on it for a nasty clearing job: woods choked with burningbush, multiflora rose, barberry, hawthorn, bittersweet vine mixed throughout chokecherry and ash saplings.
The anti-vibe is pretty good for the abuse I’m feeding it, torque is phenomenal, throttle response is snappy. Only a handful of tanks in so it may get even better. Not super heavy (13.2 dry without cutter) and a servicable harness but not great. Fires up like an echo and re-starts easily. This would be a good one for early PCT, invasives, or basic clearing. $450 with trimmer head, harness, and saw attachment hardware.
