The oregon i have is not as tall as the stihl ,the full skip square has longest and tallest of all the cutters in the chain i have, when i get time i will try to set side by side and take an image. Think it is rslf chain3/8 Oregon generally has taller teeth than Stihl. Is this the same for 404?
All are .404The top photo Brian. Are they all 3/8?
1st one, Archer looks wide like 404.
All are .404
Here is side by side of archer ,oregon skip ,stihl rslf skip, and stihl rsc round full comp ,the archer has 3 sharpens on it so its not full cutter sizeView attachment 177644
Top to bottom archer on top ,then oregon, stihl skip square, stihl full comp roundView attachment 177646
I reminds me of old style rslf stihl chain ,rakers look the same ,it leaves a lot of chips on the ground ,self feeds real nice ,little rougher feel cutting than modern stihl chain ,that could be the rakers biting harder,it was leaving about half inch chips sharpend 3 times rakes untouched. How well does the Archer .404" work for you?

Have you tried full chisel square ground? Always looking to pick you Aussies’ brains on euc. Thanks!.404 used to be made in 050, but I don't think anyone has made it for years maybe decades. A few ol timers have some if you really wanted to find it but its fairly rare. I run 063 .404 and 063 3/8 so I can swap nose sprockets around between bars if I need too. Speed isn't everything, I like .404 on my 80 & 90cc saws, in Ozzy hardwoods it cuts for ages with chipper or semi chisel chain. Also get a lot of production/sharpenings out of the big long cutters.

Probably me as I can only afford to buy one roll at a time I use semi chisel 404 . 46 RM on everything Rogue prefers full Chisel and clean hardwood semi if it's got and *s-word up the guts.I can’t remember who said it, but stih rs (semi chisel) was better than full chisel, iirc .
was it @rogue60
So forgive a stupid FNG question, but at what point saw displacement-wise does .404 become viable? Over 70cc? 90cc?
