Alright, many fans of the 2100 out there? There's a pretty tidy one in my local pawn shop here in nz with a 32" .404 for $900. Going in tomorrow to check it out in person. Just wondering what I should look out for and if it's worth the money. I've already got a 044 and a 241c so I think it would be a good addition to the family, even though it is a husky:D

tell them its an old banger that you cant get parts for. offer 6 or 700. shipping from the UK is heaps better than from the US! like half the cost.

Checked it out today. All they would give me was a $50 discount. Starts and idles good and manual oiler works. Seemed way easier to pull over than my 044, thought it would've been a beast to start. Low compression maybe? Think I'll pass on it at this stage. @VunceGU05 yeah mate I've got a few good deals of eBay uk, but do you have a modded 2100 you're willing to part with? :p

If it's a thin ring model, it won't have that tip your hand off feeling like a Stihl. Let it sit a week, go back offer Em again. They are going up in value, and will outlast any new saw. And parts can be found. I use mine daily in big wood, they are your best friend.

I do! Sadly due to lack of funds and needing a new loader my MMWS 2100 may be coming up for sale, which is UK based!

@jb-chainsaws keep me in the loop! Could be keen if things don't work out here. @raumati01 nice man especially for that price. Are any parts interchangeable between 1100 and 2100?

Most things apart from the ignition apparently, that's usually why they die. Hoping that there's a fix for it .

Walk in with 600 cash and slap it on the counter would be my plan

@raumati01 it looked like they just relisted at the same price to me? Would love the saw but contemplating just going brand new on a big saw after the troubles I've had with my 044, just seems never ending sometimes!

I'd go new or ported from one of the members here

Had some spare time in the weekend and had a look at the 1100, took a few pulls but the beast actually started and ran. Very stoked.

Nice mate, you'll have to put a vid up! Funny since I started this thread I've seen about 2 or 3 better ones pop up on trade me and sell for less than the one I was looking at. I ended up getting a brand new 461 for a real good deal. 2100 is near the top of the bucket list for saws though
