I'm just going to leave this here for inspiration. This kit was pretty fast. 40mph on the flats from a 40cc weed wacker! I never put a pipe on because I kept breaking spokes. They sell a wheel with beefed up spokes to match the kit though.

Anyone ready to mount their chainsaw yet? One of those MS660 cloners should be cheap enough and rip harder than the china-bike engines. Although.... looking at the progress of Mr. Snelling's engine, a stock 660 may not be enough ;)

They have em.

OMG, it's my wife's worst nightmare...

EDIT: I built my first stroker crank Honda back in '66. The kits available today are heaps better. Take a 90cc Honda, bore and stroke it, big valves, cam - Crikey, this power to weight ratio can start getting up there with the dragsters - biggest problem is 'power to the ground'.

We could start team races.
Motors built by the primates on here could be low riders with ape hanger handlebars.
Put a bracket on that will hold a saw then race to a log stand, make a few cuts and race back.

May need a Doc onsite for the occasional skint knee

I finally felt up to porting the cylinder this morning. I'm not real fond of the exhaust and transfer port timing, but I'm working with what I was given. After cleaning up and evening up the transfers, they are at 112. The one side was quite a bit higher than the other. I raised the exhaust up to 96 just to get some decent blowdown. It has to run better than it would have with uneven transfers and only 9* of blowdown. I'm not worried about compression. I'm probably borderline with the small combustion chamber I went with anyway. The only thing I could do is to drop the jug maybe .40", but I'm going to see how it does like it is. It will have a pipe on it, so it might like these numbers. We'll see. BTW, the intake ended up at 65 just cleaning up the port.

In KS, above 49cc requires a motorcycle license. I happen to have one of those so I'm good. This could be fun!
I was told if it starts as a bike and can be peddled it is always looked at as a bike no matter what.

Cool project but I'd rather be seen riding a fat girl than that bike....
I'm telling !

I looked up CT statutes. 49cc limit, but no speed limit. It just states if you are traveling slower than speed limit you need to stay on the edge of the road.
Highly doubt they’d ever check engine cc’s on a bicycle...

I've had 'puter problems and missed this .The first bike picture I noticed the girder front fork on the bike much like on an Indian Chief motorcycle . Wizzer adapters were popular when I was a kid but I had a mini bike made from an old bicycle frame and go kart tires that would out run them all with a 2.5 HP Briggs .My youngest brother had one better with a 580 West Bend that would hit about 70 MPH .That engine BTW ,which was from a racing go kart is in my shed .It's got to be about 50 years old . It has the "Go Power" stuffer on a tail end mount and a worked over Tilley HL .Motor bikes and mini's are a lot of fun .
