The guy I got my 1100CD from tells me the oiler quit working. Does anyone know if oiler parts from other models will fit?

Looking to replace these, thanks!20170115_112541.jpg

The worm gear and the pump assembly is the same for the 285, 298, 1100, 2100 & 2101

If you don't find anything closer to home, I will have a pump and worm gear to sell.

there's a worm gear on eBay that says it's for 2100-285 and it doesn't look the same. He says his part # is 501 55 88-02 but the 1100cd IPL says I need 501 55 89-01 for the shaft piece and the other gear is 501 29 27-02

How about the plastic handle on a 1100CD? Do you have one or know what other model might share the same part?

I'll check those numbers in the morning....I believe 1100 & 380CD share that handle only

The pump shafts and housings changed slightly over the years.....That's why I recommend just replacing the whole pump. If you can't find the 501 55 89-01 shaft on it's own, as an assembly , they bolt in and work from all those models.....I can set you up with that if you like.

Rob, I have one here from a 185.

Will that work?

Yes, Ted. The 185 is a dead match for the 1100. I forgot that it had the plastic handle....I have 380 ones that would probably work, but the part # is different for the trigger, so not sure they are a dead match.

Do your other pump housings have an oiler adjustment? I'm having trouble posting pics right now or I would post a pic of mine. The adjustment screw in mine is missing in other housings I've seen from similar models.

In response to my PM'S with @Warped5 I am indeed in need of a handle. Somehow the trigger still works but no OPL or high idle lock for starting.

@jockeydeuce thank you very much for helping me out with an oiler assembly. This saw was recently given to me by a good friend of my Dad's who used it as a logger in the late 70's early 80's. He bought it from the original owner who dressed it with a 28" bar to build a log cabin with.

First the handle was damaged when he loaned it out, then the oiler quit and it was reserved for part time use on only the big falling tasks. When it lost spark it was hung on a wall for years. I'm bringing it back to life to keep and not sell, so thank you very much for helping.

I have an Alaskan mill jig I plan toeventually hook it up on and the old fella told me he'd love me to bring it by and put it in some wood when I get it going again. I put another coil in it, carb kit and fuel line just last weekend and got it to fire but haven't run or tuned it yet. Once I get the oiler i'll put it together and try to get it tuned. It only has 2 of the 3 pawls and 1 broken fin on the flywheel but I'll leave those alone.

A new handle would be icing on the cake. Anxiously awaiting a return PM from@Warped5 on that one.

Thanks guys!

Hey, just for curiosity sake, do you know if there is a model from which an all-metal tank/handle would mount up to my 1100CD? The 2100 has the manual oiler pump and the 380 and 185 have the plastic handles...

285 & 298 for sure........I'll have to look, but I didn't think the 180 thru 480 tanks fit the big chassis saws...That's just an assumption on my part though.
