Looking for a good used OEM cylinder for the same saw.

If the hole just below the bottom coil screw means it's a two coil mount, then I stand corrected.

Okay thanks. I plead ignorance sometimes.
This is the coil. Old saw with m4 shroud screws and no fuel level tank if that helps any. I'm getting no email notices on this thread although I'm signed up for them so my responses may be slow.

That's the universal-style ignition, so you'll need a case half either with the same mounts in your old one or the two upper mounts.

What's wrong with that case half? Maybe it can be fixed.

Thanks for all the info.
It probably can be repaired but I can't tig magnesium and don't trust anyone in these parts to do it. Don't want to put a fortune in it either.
I cracked the cylinder base portion of the case with the case splitter. Argh!

Since there is a tremendous amount of experience watching this thread I would like to ask a question.
The Bing is going and I want to use an HS320 with intel carb top. Anybody know where/ how to get a regular top for the carb?

A cover from an older HS carb works fine - I made the same swap in my 064/066 hybrid. I used a cover off of a junk HS carb out of a Homelite XL.

Seems like when I hoard parts I run out of room. So I usually throw everything in the blue hopper when it's junk.
Now......
I may have a couple old Tilleys from 268XP. They seem a bit small but I can check.
Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.

You're the man Jacob. Top from a 234 worked.
My creativity is poor in old age.
Thanks for the help.

I've seen some of your videos Mr. Carr.
You seem to be very talented.
If you will give it a try I'm game.

Is that piece completely broke off?

No. I put a small bar clamp on it yesterday and pulled it back where it belongs.
If you gouge it for root pass it may be two pieces though.
If you can fix it I would appreciate it.

I'll give it a shot. I'll need both case halves so I can finish the gasket surfaces.
