For those of you that own or have ran BOTH a stock 036 and a stock 562xp which would you go with and why? I cut on my farm for firewood, pasture clearing, etc. I have other larger saws.

I know it's a broad question but the more info the better.

The 562 will be the faster of the two. Autotune on the 562 is nice.

Have run both plenty, never owned either one, both make a good firewood saw, if a new 562xp is what we are looking at here, then I would go with it. If a used 562xp is being looked at then I would have to say that the 036 pro has the edge, with parts available in both AM and OEM, makes it a pretty easy keeper.

The 562 is definitely stronger in stock form, but a MOFO ported 036/360 makes a real nice saw!

Also, would not overlook the new 362 Ver II, it is about 1/2 lb lighter than a 562. Before my 362 was ported, it was run against a 560 (both with muff mods and square file chain) at a GTG, and they were very close.

Frankly, almost any of the 60 cc saws that you find in good condition at the right price make very nice saws, especially with a few mods. (262, 562, 036/360, 361, 362) and some others, they are all good.

Heft one with the size bar you plan to use and see what you like and/or what you find at the right price.

The 362rcm NE is lighter than the 562 with the same bar. That’s with 3/4 wrap and wide clutch cover.

hey, how you been?

No. Completely stock. Mm make a good difference on them?
I've been good man. How are you?

I haven't modded mine yet either but everyone says it really wakes them up.

It's not gonna hang with Dall's 036 stock but ported I bet it would give it a run.

If I feel like I need more saw I just grab a 372. They're my go to most of the time.

I've been great. With 4 kids and work
, chainsaws took the WAY back burner but 'tis the season to cut firewood.

My 036Pro is a nice, strong saw, but comes in behind a 562 and my 6100. I’d take spring AV over 036’s rubber mounts anytime as well.

Cant beat a ms 361 or a ported 036 parts are easily available for 036 oem new and used .361 has spring vibe like 562 quad port transfers with a muff mod timing advance and base delete both models really wake up. I can honestly say ive never ran a 562. Its pretty tough to beat a 361 stock

362 regardless of weight is a fuggin pooch. 562 for the win.
