I pulled out a saw my uncle (now deceased) said I had to have. He sold it to a customer and then got it back years later. He sold it the year I was born. I worked for him for a couple of years while I was in college( 1989-1991). During that time we scavenged the bone pile to get it running. It was my first saw, followed closely by a couple of 028 saws from the bone pile.
Saw had a few issues and was set aside for a bit. I had a chance to clean it up, tune it up, and start running it. put a 20 inch 3/8 063 bar and running full chisel chain of the same vintage as the saw.
I have been using it in rotation to cut firewood for a couple months.
Here is a link to a short video of the first start after new fuel and impulse line, cleaned the points, new plug, and an overall deep clean.
