Does anyone make a 14" bar for the 024?

Looks like the smallest Stihl makes in .325 is 16". Dont know about other manufacturers. You are probably going to have to go to picco if you want that length.

Whip out the hacksaw and carbide burr and you can make a 16 in to a 14 in nothing flat.

I assume you are cutting the tail end off & making the slot longer? Will the hole in the bar that the adjusting pin goes thru still have enough for adjustment?

Sorry for the late reply.

Yes, yes and yes.

Yah, let's see this shiz @Dub11

I haven't done this to a Stihl bar but I have done it to a clapped out 20" k095 making it an 18" to run this square grind 74 dl .063 after some clearance on the rails.

I'll get some pics later today. If I remember.

And I'll for warn you ugly.

I just took a look at my cache of 200T bars in the garage which I think could be adapted to an 024 but they are 3/8" lo-pro 16", 14" and 12 ". It's doubtful it would cut any faster though .With a good sharp .325 3/8" chisel that saw does very well considering it's displacement . Two less inches of bar would not make that much difference IMO .

Stihl makes a " tuning kit " for 261. In that kit you get 3x 3/8p PS 60dl chains, 16" bar 3003 000 6313 and rim sprocket 0000 642 1240.
That will fit Stihl 024.
Stihl makes or made even shorter bar 13" 3003 000 6306.....
6306_s.jpg 6306_6313.jpg Lower bar is from tuning kit.
