The shortest one should be 5015 204 01,used on earlier with a "thin" starter cover. With the "thick cover ",you need to use the long neck pulley to reach pawls.

The adjustment screw is on the "face" of the pump on the left top corner. Its a plastic screw that you turn ,got 4 positions of adjustment.

They had in the latter years a screw in clamp ,way better than wire. Part no :5035 916 01.

Check if the blade is touching the terminal when switch is off.Does the terminal on switch button is far enough in the slot ?

As Duane says, run it w/o air filter.The spring that holds your choke flap is probably too weak and shut itself when you hold the throttle.
