    262xp new piston?

I would go meteor. I’ve done this twice on 262’s. They are good quality and they come with caber rings which is also a plus.

372 XP goes lean when hot

Sounds awful funny reading farmertec make a better then oem part. But I 100% agree. I have one on mine.

    walbro hd-12 epa vs. hd-6

I believe the venturi is bigger on the hd12. I bought a used 372 with an hd6 and I replaced it with a brand new hd12 and it ran better/stronger. But also I’m comparing old, used to brand new. But I would guess the bigger Venturi would help make more power.

Advice on a new chain grinder

I just bought the super jolly last month. Still getting used to it. But it’s a nice grinder. I bought it from maverick mower, recommended on here. The 2 grinding wheels were broken on arrival so I called them up and a week later I got 5 of each in the mail. Now that’s some good customer...

What to do with KS port bevels?

I just noticed the same thing on a brand new 288xp ks. Barely any bevel at all. I am not sure why they are so different from the mahle as well

    Porting an old Husqvarna 357

Not 100% sure but I think a member here was talking about putting a 357 top end on a 359 case. Which would essentially be the same thing. They said it made a broader power band.

What do y'all do with stale gas-oil mix?

Yep craftsman lawn movers been running on old gas for years. Old boat gas (mix), old generator gas, chainsaw mix that’s been around to long. I almost think the extra lube has kept it going this long. Same 12hp Briggs has been bolted into its third lawn tractor.

Best 9mm round for concealed carry?

That sounds like the site I went to. Prices are a little to good to be true. Shipping was 20$ regardless how much u bought. Then they send some weird payment email separately. Definitely a scam.

    Super Early 262XP Saws

Ya definitely just cover screws and I’m not sure how long they came like that but it’s a tell tale sign it’s an early on. As in ks cylinder and hda-87 carb. Also I always look for no decomp, plastic clutch cover and gas tank compartment

    What's on your bench?

Yep. I made that mistake once when I was 16 years old I put the piston in backwards on my 250r three wheeler. Won’t do that again. It ran for about 10 minutes. Luckily it was an older steel cylinder and could be bored bigger.
