Might be able to help, but don’t have a lot of free time ATM. P.M. me the details and I’ll help if I can. The Last saw that I shipped cost me close to $70. Back-and-forth to Reno fuel for me is close to $30. Not sure what you’re getting it for, but Those things alone add $100 to the price...
Glad to help. Smart move on the rakes. I've been fortunate enough to get some good advice from the fellas on here. Happy to pass some of it on. Best of luck to you wolverine. Let us know how they perform @ the races!

Like Pilbert said the differences between the Oregon 620 and the super Jolly hydraulic assist grinder are primarily cosmetic, and you’re right at Bailey’s there is $150 difference between the Oregon 620 grinder at $569 and the super jolly at $419.
However, Russo Power Equipment has the Oregon...
I too am very sorry too hear this my friend. Your Ziggy's are a super rare find. Your square grinds always looked top notch to me. I was always jealous of the adjustability of your grinder.
GLWS.

Hope that helps. That's just what I do. You have to find a method that works best for you.
On a side note, I have also found that it is sometimes necessary to touch up and working the corner slightly after stoning the side plate. Here's a close-up View of one that has been stoned and honed...
I've tried various types of stones for this part of the process and I have decided that I like to Use diamond lapping bench stone the best because it's perfectly flat, has fast material removal characteristics, and it doesn't wear quickly. Mount Chain on your saw in the running "backwards"...
I really like JR's set up for stoning~Sweet. I stone chain on the saw-(chain mounted bass akwards). Here's some notes,A couple of pictures, and a short video. On the last one I did

I have the old tecomec type 185 mini grinder. I picked it up used on craigslist for $25. Came with two new wheels. It's a little underpowered and lacks adjustability, but it still works great. The good thing about having an "under powered grinder" is that you seldom burn a cutter.I primarily...
I still consider myself an novice compared to a few Jedi master square chain-filer guys that are on here. But thanks for the good press anyway Anthony[emoji6]

I really hope there will be a chain competition. I thought somebody said there may not be a chain competition this year due to something about Chinese builds. If there is,I will send some racers to Anthony for safekeeping once we know the pitch/DL count. No way I'll be able to attend at Randy's...
Yeah I got the memo all right! My phone damn near vibrating out of my pocket for the last hour! LOL. This person mentioned you, that person mentioned you.etc.etc.
Ice pick talking me up again. Get'n me in over my head. I think...

The 550 Randy did for me runs an usually runs an 18 inch bar. 325" Full chisel/Square ground chain. I've only had a seven pin rim on it, but now I'm tempted to put an 8-pin on there. Should have the huevos to pull it. It's getting due for a new rim anyways…

I'd love this SDM-4, and Wish I had spare the cash. I would trade you any pro saw in my stable. All have had the Mastermind treatment take your pick Anthony.

It looks that way in this pic, but it was hit and miss on both sides of the chain all over.

I've seen quite a few DIY'ers try to compensate for a badly dulled chain by taking the rakes way down. Seems to be a common mistake. Sometimes they have just taken out too far. This was a 36 inch chain that probably cost The guy 40 to 50 bucks. Totally ruined. He took off the rakes completely...
