Thank you, I think your right. I opened the low side and raised the idle some more I can now get it to start but it takes two to three pulls which isn't great for competition but it will get there.
its using wj118 carb for husky 390 xp with choke assbly removed. if i prime it, it starts and runs great. once i shut it off it won restart without being primed again. im wondering if i should just change the pulse line and fuel line.
If you are looking to build a fast, reliable and competitive race saw for a 60cc and under class i would get 357xp install a properly ported 359 cylinder and piston mod the muffler advance the timing and smooth the carb. We have had great luck with ours over the last couple of years.
