its using wj118 carb for husky 390 xp with choke assbly removed. if i prime it, it starts and runs great. once i shut it off it won restart without being primed again. im wondering if i should just change the pulse line and fuel line.

If it runs fine once fired up, then it’s not likely the impulse

Thank you, I think your right. I opened the low side and raised the idle some more I can now get it to start but it takes two to three pulls which isn't great for competition but it will get there.

Could give it a lil' squirt right after you shut it down. That would prime it for next time

I would definitely check your fuel line for a small hole and throw a kit in it

Kinda sounds like your needle isn't seating all the way and emptying your bowl.

Have you noticed if it's dripping fuel after you shut it off?

Check your pop off. May be a tad high.
