Saw was seized up but not from aluminum transfer.
Big eng bearing had so much crud in it that it was frozen. Piston off, pin bearing race in the crank has pit lines from the bearing rollers....
base gasket was folded down by the cylinder extension leaving what had to have been a pretty nasty leak. It was covered in grime from use.

They used swamp water for lube, that is nasty.

Well it looks like it will probably be going to get its nose powdered after all.

It’ll look good once it’s done! Still making a list of stuff it will need to button it up but have to save the cabbage in the mean time.

Figured I’d ask to swap my 5105 cover for someone else’s 5100s cover, or figure out how to modify my 5105 cover to fit the 5100s case?

How different are they?

Yea I’ll take that too but I was too blind to see the switch on the side. I just wanted to know where to look for heat when I find this series in the future.

Not by much but I don’t want to start hacking on the underside of the cover and wreck my pre-filtration into the carb box. Figured someone else has either modified one of these covers before and could push me in the right direction or easier solution is to use the right parts and swap with someone.

Are you talking about the recoil cover? If so, I believe I have one I can swap with you. PM sent.

Same with the early 116siH. These had a slide type heating switch too which was replaced by the standard kill switch with later machines.
Crank case had to be altered to accommodate the different switch

Well clutch carrier has a broken leg in it, front cover of muffler cracked under all the rust.

Clutch on the way and got a muffler on the way as well.
Blasted pto side case and some of this old powder will NOT let go.
Recoil blasted and cleaned the front and all the loose powder coat of FW side case. Think I’m just going to have to powder over the sound powder and pray for the best!

Clutch cover powder is HARD and thick as well as looking like someone put Makita blue on top of and old red Dolmar cover.

Who list is it on? I feel mine runes like a stock 60cc .

Does it work well? I'm guessing you have a slot in the tube to pick up the grit? Does it pressurise the bottle?
