Yep. My daughter stopped growing and had dark rings around her eyes at age 7. It took some digging but we figured out she was celiac. We had an endoscopy done of her small intestine and they had started to turn black. The villi that absorb nutrients we're all laid down in her intestine so essentially gluten was killing her. Once we got her switched over(serious life style change) she improved in leaps and bounds. That was 7 years ago and she is as tall as my wife and really healthy. Celiac is genetic too so the entire family got tested. Turns out my wife and another daughter have it. I could go on and on about what is safe and not safe to eat. The store here in se wi are pretty well stocked. We just need those diet *a-holes to quit thinking gf is healthy for then so the prices go down. You can't tell me rice flour is 4 times harder to make because they charge 4 times more for it.
