Lol. DikLol. Looks good there in the pic with everything in tact.
Almost anything is faster than an 066 in 12 to 14" wood if were talking stock saws.Very interesting Dave.
The other odd thought I have buzzing around in my head is the ability of an 85cc 064 to be faster than a 91cc 066 in a 12 to 14” log.
No I’m talking piped racersAlmost anything is faster than an 066 in 12 to 14" wood if were talking stock saws.
Pains me to say this but the 064/066 stroke kills the 288 in race applications to me, I love a 288 but they just suited betyer for different applications. 385/390 well I know @Definitive Dave can vouch the last trip to his house we ran a 390 work ported saw and it was very impressive.
288 pipe build coming up? Will definitely tune in for that.Odd thing is, as far as I know, a 390 only has 37mm stroke and 55mm piston for about the same capacity as the 288 yet I hear so much about their success in racing at the moment

Despite my username I don’t discriminate. Good running saw is a good running saw. Just messin with you stihl guys lol.Lol. Looks good there in the pic with everything in tact.
I'd throw a 281 or 181 top end on it
My bad I forgot yall have different classes there.Well that’s an interesting twist.
I’d be back to about 81cc in a race class ranging between 78 and 100 cc then.
What’s your reasoning mate?
