I dusted off some tools from my former life last weekend, I even bought a few new ones to do it.

Started with this : I fell through that fukking step and shaved the skin off my shin..I almost threw my hammer to Iowa.

And started to finish around here :

And ended up here :

I did it for a lady I've know for 30 years that's on a tight budget being retired, she said some guys wanted 8-10 grand to do it and asked me if I'd help her out..so..it made me miss doing it.

Oh..I have a milwaukee M18 fuel review for you girls.

I bought the impact/drill kit with the 5.0 batteries. I really like it, lots of power and good battery life.

I also bought the circular saw and the new 6.0 battery..not bad for cutting 2x4 and 2x6..

But..that battery barely made it through one stringer cutting those steps.

Was that 6.0 battery worth what I paid for it ? ..maybe..depends on what you're gonna use it for.

Corded tools still have their place.

Going to get harder as you get older too. I see guys my age that did physical labor, and they are almost all a mess. Find something you enjoy, that is not too hard on the body. Save you some pain in the future. Looks like you do good work.

Other than when I was 15 pumping gas ( that's actually how I know that lady ) I've never had a job that I didn't bleed, sweat, freeze and be outside.

She laughed and said I remember when you were a little *s-wordhead pumping my gas, I told her I'm still a *s-wordhead I just got bigger.

I'm not wired to work somewhere I don't burn a lot of energy, I'd be a homicidal maniac if I couldn't get it out everyday.

Morning gents, enjoying my coffee and some quiet time while everyone is sleeping, looking like another cloudy day with rain expected, gotta go spread some barkdust at a buddy's property today, hoping to get it done quick it's only 10 yards of bark so we'll se how it goes.

Been trying to get seed starting/germination caught up a bit as I slacked getting it dun last month. It's surprising how quick stuff catches up when in better growing conditions.

Notching around this brick mold and getting that first 2x6 to fit nice along that threshold made me take the lords name in vein enough to go to hell.

So much for treated lumber and galvanized screws..
