I heard from a reliable source, that the saw will go through some changes, they'll be adding a new carb and a cat muffler to comply with emission standards.

All three carb boots tore at the same spot, while doing tree felling and limbing in sub-zero (celcius) winter conditions. My own conclusion is, that the boot might be too short, and breaks while being under tension and vibration. Could it also be, that the low temperature lessens the flexibility...

I had the opportunity to test this saw in my daily work last year, and found out that the carb boot was a weak spot. It tore multiple times, on two different saws causing lean mixture. It produces a very distinctive screaming sound when accelerated. I'd encourage you to keep an eye for it...

Never. Here's a list of fixes that i recall: Coil replaced under warranty, had been badly assembled, coil wire rubbed against the flywheel, causing grounding. Carb diagphrams changed. Throttle safety mechanism broke when i fell on it. Muffler gutts broke loose last week. Top cover replaced when...

It's my fourth year using this saw in pro logging, and it has proven to be most of all very reliable. Only had to replace some small parts here and there, where as my 560 husky spent a lot of time in the shop for repairs. The weight is not an issue for me, i like the large tanks and long runtime...

Has anyone else experienced the saw stumbling or even shutting when returning to idle from wot? My saw does this, and the issue gets worse as the weather gets colder. I too noticed the overly rich tune from factory, and have tightened the h screw almost 1/2 turn. Still 4-strokes on light load.

Anyone out there who has a vintage Dolmar with AV front handle. My CC 116 has it but the rubber bushes are missing. Would appreciate photos or knowledge of the original parts, or what to use as a substitute.
