I finally got around to getting on the laptop to post the Peace River, Florida fossil hunting trip pics from 2013. Some of the river is like it was right out of dinosaur times!

Oh man!
Looks like some excellent fishing water...any small-mouth or trout hanging around?:applaudit:

The section of river we where fishing smallmouth are protected. Anything under 15" has to be released. No trout here. Oxygen levels too low and high lead contamination. This river is one of the goofy rivers that flows backwards from south to north. Lots of old lead mines to the south and runoff of years ago has contaminated the river.

I’ve been to Washington State Park many times in my youth. The real Ozarks start Southwest of there.

Both were great
So where do you find buns to support that kind of patty?

Wednesday was our last day of vacation. Last hour at the beach, then an insider tour of NASA Langley from a college buddy who works there. Then the long drive home (got in at 11:30 Wednesday night). Now back to the real world.

Phone decided to die on my Montana trip.
Back home, new phone.

Here's why they gave the groundskeeper role to Bill Murray in Caddyshack rather than me.
I get the gopher.

52 yards. Not even sure which choke I have in it.
3 1/2" 2 shot, just because.

How was Montana?

It was good. Had some crap moments too.
The number of people made for a pain in the azz. Going to the sun road is very narrow. When people park where they shouldn't, it gets worse..

We took a different route from Hwy 2 down to I94 in Montana we had never taken before. 65 miles, we saw 1 abandoned house on the entire stretch. Terrain was pretty cool, similar to the Badlands in South Dakota.
I still need to get the pics my wife took into my phone.

Travel distance from Glacier to my house.

They have such a short season there due to snow, it really packs people in a short time as it evidently has become much more popular a destination than it was years ago.

We tried to book a boat tour on one of the lakes, they were booked out 4 days in advance.
When we were there years ago, we walked up, booked it, and were the only 2 on the boat!

Might be reposts, not sure.

In the last pic, just to the left of the river is where the road drops into the valley.
Those blocks seen are all that is on the valley side of the road. Going east, you can look out the window directly down..not sure on exact height of road, but I'm guessing 2000ft straight down in some spots. My truck was at maximum size allowed on the road.

Huh. Maybe. I didn't know Yellowstone was doing that.
Hwy 89 into the park is under construction too. That sucked..
I do dig the 70 mph speed limit everywhere, interstate is 80 mph.
My speedo is 3mph slow on my truck due to a rim/tire swap, but rolling the interstate at 89mph according to the GPS, the cluster still said I was getting 19mpg.

I need some advice on how to remove this one. The blue Arrow is the edge of a steep drop off. The crown and majority of the oak tree is also hanging on top of multiple trees that are holding it up. I am fairly skilled and comfortable with my saw but am hoping for help. Thanks in advance.
