I pulled the trigger and bought a 461r hot handle from Gary. Just waiting for it to arrive. I'm going to give it another couple years for the 462 to prove itself.

I m really happy that now 462released in “merica” all the worried and sceptical people even those claiming Stihl shouldn’t replace the older model are buying 462s and check the enjoyment theirselves.

P.S: huskylovers are in big trouble, for 2019 they can brag for a 50cc saw that finally reached the power of 261 BUT with a weight almost 5.5kilos. So clients liking the west coast look are in 6kilos scale with 4hp...Oh wait Stihl selling 6 kilo 6hp saws from 2017 guys!!!!

Saw a 462 in person today! Stopped at my dealer to order some parts and there it was!

Well I'm not the guy who runs out and buys the newest thing out there! Besides I think I'll like this better and it's proven itself already!

Something weird. I just noticed. Both of your saws above have stickers on the brake flag, mine do not.
