Started out at .085 and took the key to .050 today Mike. Made a huge difference with in cut rpmKeith, I agree with CFB, .025-.030 is all I would take off the key, and mine are usually .078 to start (044/440 + 046/460).
The timing advance made a big difference on my brother's 460, and I think I only took .020 off the key, and it is not a ported saw. We had done a muff mod and HD-2, and you barely knew the difference till the timing advance. Then it woke right up.
I think with a timing advance, you may just leave it like it is! Give it a try, nothing to loose.
