Those red 009 was the first chainsaw I ever bought, I needed a saw to start climbing(4 years ago) with so I found this mint red 009 and fell in love. After a "little" porting and base gasket delete and yes sealing the air leak under the carby..
I pulled it out the other day after not starting for over 6 months with some fresh fuel it kick in two gear on the second pull..

I now work part time at a Stihl shop in my home town and I'm the only one that can stand to work on them. I use vasoline to keep the rolla bearings together on the crank/rod when you get to there.
i love working on them , very simple saw indeed

I don't know why everyone at work hates working on them, even if one comes in for a sharpen it gets handed to me.. I don't know how many oil pumps I've spend weeks trying to get for a customer so hand to find these days.
We have a 011av that's red at work that's low on comp I think I may offer the customer some money for.

I'll go out and get a pic of mine, it's still on the bench after getting it out the other day.

I've tried so many times but if it's the diaphragm in the pump it's self, you'll need a new one and I can't find any. Stihl don't make them anymore, no aftermarket.
I have a pile of the white ones in the back of the shed but I've taking all the pumps out to get customers saws going.

I checked the number on a MS460 that I'm working on. Turns out it started life as a Rescue saw.
