Mike got me hooked on Bahco. The only other one I've tried is Save Edge and it didn't seem to stay sharp very long. Haven't tried these Stihl's yet.

Thanks Deets! I've been trying different angles out. This one should be a decent work chain, and stay sharp longer. I don't know what it is with filing chains , but I love trying to get that perfect corner. I'm usually consistently low, so I'm working on that.

I prefer a double bevel file. I've only used Save Edge so far, but would like to try the Bahco files.
I do find the Save Edge files a little inconsistent. I have one file that should be dead a long time ago, and another much newer one that wore out in no time. I use them all the same way, so I'm not heavier on one file compared to another. I use the dull one to clean up after I convert from round now.

Shipping was $11 for 10 of them. Hoping they're a bit more durable than save edge. When they're all dull I'll send them to save edge and have them sharpened

Almost all of them are the same blanks. How they're sharpened it what changes them I believe. That being said I get double the life from Vallorbe but they're over $100 for a box of 10 or 12

I'm not certain, but DDAVE says it's ridiculously cheap to sharpen all brands. If the files are $7-10, I'd wager maybe $3-5 to sharpen them
