Went wild on opening the muffler, stock was the one 1/2" tube for the small chamber (cylinder side) and one 3/8 hole for the front chamber. I knocked a hole in the divider plate too.

Capped it with one of my medium deflectors.

20" bar set at 13,600

This saw has the hda 63/cs800 carb on it.

Honestly surprised it even runs. Carb was full of al corrosion, rusted needles. Just scrubbed good with a brass brush, put the kit in, and hope for the best.

Even idled for a good 15 20 min without issue. Went back to cutting didn't even fiddle with the tune..

bone stock 6700, 150 comp set round 12,500 it didn't want to go much leaner.

Well, I guess the comp is higher than I thought. checked it after a lunch break cool down.

Feels a good bit stronger without an air filter, might try an adapt a green weenie..

Saw really seems to wake up round 14,400-14,600. don't think the larger carb is helping at all, feels a little lacking in the mid range. still feels pretty strong. ill try putting a stock carb back on sometime.

With that compression you're about ready for a little methanol/nitro. Just need more carb flow.

That may be above my pay grade.. probably have to retard the timing to avoid meltdown on the pipe. Maybe run diesel and a glow plug? Lol

Nah. It would be about right. 230 was about perfect on my 372xpw. Just don't try 6 cuts in a short period of time.

Fine I'll quit posting them.

Just keep it all to myself. ....

:)

Just to help sell when the time comes. Feel sorry for the fella that buys the 590 15 pages to look through lol

The tough part is deciding what to do next...

Or keeping only 1 tore apart.

Or remember to find parts for a fella in Northern mi...

Post as much as you can now, and enjoy your time wrenching.
