This. The highest paying and easiest to work trades, are plumbing and HVAC. Both industries are having a very heard time finding employees, especially trained employees with a work ethic, and are starting out around $30/hr here with $40/hr is they’re a journeyman. Great work to get into as a young adult.

Edit: add electricians to this list.
My nephew is a 38+ year master plumber residential and commercial
his knees and hips are shot from digging and crawling under house's.
But in today's world one could simply make a living doing service calls
And Installs.
He teaches plumbing at a vocational school now and get calls daily because people are to stupid to install a toilet or
Put faucet's in.
There is so many electricians here that my union electrician neighbors
Father and son go without work for months.
HVAC is the place to be because so many people work from home
My friends make bank on service calls
They don't even go after new construction jobs much anymore.
Small engine guy's are doing good here
I was offered 35.00 an hour to fix saws and mowers and god damn weed eaters
It didn't have insurance so i had to turn it down.

What did they do to that series the old 290/310/390s I'd get in for carb kits or fuel lines and occasionally for rebuilds.
Since those 291s came out people have brought me several of them fried
These Same people that ran the older stihls for decades
At the time I couldn't even get pistons or cylinder kits for them when i checked.View attachment 407793

There's a plumbing outfit here the owner talked to my nephews class
And said if you work for me
i will have you picked up from your home and brought back every day
For 6 months until you can get transportation for yourself.
I will pay you up to 30.00 an hour
Depending on skills to be an apprentice
And you don't need any training
I will train you.
I think a few kids are doing it
One kid he's 18 he's been there 9 months was just given a brand new company van and is running his own jobs making around 40.00 an hour.

Anyone own a belgian malinois german shepherd mix?
If you go to a actual school and are not homeschooled
Get yourself into a vocational school
I did when i was 14
We had small engine, automotive, auto body,HVAC, electrical, building construction.
We had a computer class but they weighed 80 pounds and there was no games on them
Just *B-S.... typing classes.
Homeschooled kids in WV can take classes in the public schools. My daughter got her medical assistant certificate before graduating and now makes about $20 an hour at our local hospital. She`ll be heading to nursing school shortly. My boys will definitely take advantage of the local vo-tech center when they`re of age.

I have a brown dog who seems predisposed to being an aśshole if that counts towards anything.
Other than that we don't know what kind of dog he is..

Last couple days replaced starter on granddaughters 2013 Impala. Got at Rockauto. Battery was also load testing low according to autozone. Got a battery from Menards and put it in - really sandwiched in there. Battery had to come out tilted on end. Not impressed with the design.
There’s a reason they call them Gimpalas or Limpalas depending on which side of the hood you’re from… amiright @redline4

I didn't know how that worked i know they have many in the adult classes
Those are pricey.
My friends daughter makes double what they pay in WV
by being a traveling nurse going to Kentucky
I don't know why there's such a pay difference between states.

I had 2 impalas that treated me well. Oil changes, tires and brakes, and one set of plugs in the '06. Dumped the '06 with 186k miles on it.
The '15 went away early about 73k miles, trading on a heavily discounted Lacrosse.

All comes down to maintenance.
