Built by a local Hutterite colony. Weighs over 300lbs. Flat surface is carbon steel and usually is a shiny silver but it hasn’t been used this summer so the seasoning is all gone and it rusted some. Frame is built from the same steel the use on bridges, the patina is intentional. Marketed as Black Earth Grills, they also make a really cool gas BBQ that can also be pellet powered or just pellet smoke accented.

Thanks for that. Only thing I know about Manitowac is ice machines, on of my friends dad was the “Iceman”. Her brothers run the company (local distributor) now.
