i use to work at a tire shop and had to put them in new tires they suck and if you need studs to go then you probably should put better tires on
my younger days i always ran sawdust recaps and id go anywhere in front wheel drive that most people did in 4wd
sucks that they don't make those anymore
You don't install theses studs. They are built into new snows, aggressive, snow tires. These are not the bolt in type. They do not punch through like the old type we bolted in the tire tread recesses on the old power wagon wrecker. That thing could pull a wheel stand in, clay, dirt or ice with those babies on it aired down... done it before on frozen pavement. Just dump the clutch and up you go hooked to the rear trailer hitch.

Never heard of sawdust recaps. Sounds like badassery
Tell us more please.
Pics?

Brb... got to go toss more salt... temps is rising here :)

i cant find a picture but they was a herringbone design rectangular blocks at a angle and had side lugs
made of soft compound rubber with sawdust added in the mix
you got maybe 5000 to 10000 miles out of them depending on if roads was covered
dry pavement and you could chew through them
