I'm way outgunned by Pat.
I just piddle in it every now and then these days.
Most of the stuff I work on is pretty "dumb" by comparison.
Newest crane I worked on today was built in 1972.
A year older than I am.

What’s the ideal bar length for those saws? My 371 runs a 24” full comp 3/8 and my 461 runs a 25 full comp 3/8. I wondering if the 461 would pull a skip tooth 32” well
28” full comp on the 461 is fairly close to the limit.32 skip may bog it down.I have run a 30”full comp on my 462 and definitely wouldn’t go bigger and that’s ported.

Yes, but your wood is like iron compared to what the youngin is going to cut. Seems that lots of West Coast guys run 32" on them. I wouldn't but some do...

True Gary no need to load the crap outa it though .Remember the old saying there no replacement for displacement :D
