Speaking of the ducks have been here for going on a week and a green head mallard landed in the slushy pond with a kerplop. Poor thing couldn't swim and couldn't wade through it either. Finally flew summers else.

My brother's friend who has a place on Willow Lake , about 10 miles west of you and about 4 miles south of my cabin . As of last Thursday he had 14 feet of snow this Winter .

Any of you guys heard about the Loons falling from the sky as they migrate north because their wings ice up? Supposedly happening in middle Wisconsin somewheres.. Apparently it’s a rare winter weather condition that doesn’t happen often. Anyways - they can’t walk on land so it’s lethal to them unless they get picked up and relocated onto a large enough body of water to recover/fly again.
