My family in Oregon sent me a bunch of pictures, it was pretty impressive there just above the 45th.
I lived there for 44 years and never saw the northern lights.
They're pretty good dual purpose ducks... supposed to lay around 200-250 eggs/year I think.
I don't enjoy eating duck so they're just layers for us.
We've never had muscovys.
Hardwood is much more difficult to get dry without lots of degradation as opposed to softwood.....especially wider slabs, and more so as you get closer to the center of the log.....sometimes slabs cut near the heart will split completely in two.
